Interswitch Uganda has announced the winners of the successful Jaguza Ne Quickteller campaign, reaffirming its commitment to expanding access to financial services through Quickteller Agency Banking across the country.

The campaign recorded exemplary performance across Uganda, expanding the Quickteller agent network, driving increased transaction volumes, increasing the number of new POS terminals, increasing transaction value and deepening engagement within the Quickteller agent network. Agents and customers actively utilized the platform for essential banking services, including bill payments, cash deposits, and cash withdrawals, demonstrating the growing reliance on agency banking as a convenient and accessible financial channel.

Through Quickteller Agency Banking, customers of Centenary Bank, Salaam Bank, and Tropical Bank can seamlessly access banking services across urban centers and rural communities. The platform continues to bridge the gap for underserved populations, reducing the distance to financial access points and advancing Uganda’s financial inclusion agenda.

Uganda has made notable strides in financial inclusion over the past decade, largely driven by mobile money and agent banking models that extend services beyond traditional bank branches. Agency banking plays a critical role in this progress by enabling licensed agents to deliver regulated banking services closer to where people live and work.

As part of the campaign came to a close, Interswitch conducted an official raffle draw, selecting winning agents from every region of Uganda. Prizes include brand-new motorcycles, smartphones, shopping vouchers, cash rewards, and Quickteller hampers, incentives designed to recognize and reward high-performing agents who have demonstrated commitment to serving their communities.

Speaking at the award ceremony event, the Country General Manager of Interswitch Uganda, Moris Seguya said:

The success of the Jaguza Ne Quickteller campaign reflects the strength and resilience of our agency banking network. Our agents are not just transaction points but critical enablers of financial access across Uganda. We have seen significant growth in transaction volumes and customer adoption during the campaign period, reinforcing the relevance of agency banking in both urban and rural markets. As we deepen our partnerships with Centenary Bank, Salaam Bank, and Tropical Bank, we are also actively working to onboard additional financial institutions onto the Quickteller platform. Our goal is clear: to make financial services more accessible, more reliable, and closer to every Ugandan.

The campaign’s strong nationwide participation underscores the increasing trust in the Quickteller platform and the expanding footprint of agency banking in Uganda. Interswitch Uganda remains focused on scaling its agent network, strengthening partnerships with financial institutions, and leveraging technology to drive inclusive growth.

As the company looks ahead, onboarding additional banks and expanding service offerings remain key priorities to further accelerate financial inclusion and economic participation across the country.
